i just got a bootleg of a BTS performance where Doug tells somebody from the audience off. He tells him "Eff You!" and then it sounds like he pulls
money out of his wallet and gives the person his money back so he'll leave. It's a side of Doug I'd never seen nor heard but it was pretty sweet.
Has anybody else heard this or know which show it was from? Any similar stories? for those who are interested I can probably put a link to download it up.
Just let me know.

Madrid Theater, Kansas City 5-25-05. A link to download the show on etree was put up here. The show started like an hour and a half or two hours late due to
power issues. A thread was started about this show (it's gone now), and I remember the guy who was kicked out actually came on here and joined in the
thread. I can't remember any details about said thread. But why would you complain directly to Doug about the delay and why would you wait until halfway
through the show to start griping about it to someone?

I also have that full show if you would like a copy sent to you. I think Doug handled the situation perfectly. and I hope that audience member felt like a
jack ass, because that is the way he presented himself.

I was repeating Doug's name after a show to get his autograph and he turned around and looked a little irritated. :/
I came back to thank him the second time after that and he had a big enough smile on his face, I don't think he was that mad. Or at least, I hope not, heh. |

When I saw them in spring of 2005 at the Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, I sat in a pizza shop next to the venue and Doug and company were sitting in the
booth right next to ours! My friend and I smiled and told him thanks a lot for coming and he just said, "Thanks a lot!" HAHA! Doug, you're a
funny dude : )
After the show, which may have been the best thing I have ever seen (they played Velvet Waltz early in the set, and I almost cried), we approached Doug once again to mention how perfect the setlist was. Once again, he said "Thanks a lot!" So, my conclusion is that I can't believe he got that pissed at a dude just days later, but I'm sure he was being an exceptional dickhead. People who piss of Doug during a set REALLY deserve to be called out. lol. |
